The Grebner Files
Despite having only been with us for a brief time, CFZ Illinois rep Derek Grebner has already posted to his blog a number of good (and lengthy!) articles on all-things-cryptozoological. Here's the link.
Nick, I greatly enjoyed your article for the 2nd volume of Dark Lore. After reading it I came across the 1st two Holiday books in my local library. Near the end of The Great Orm of Loch Ness, Holiday includes an engraving of the Great Orm found in a neolithic passage grave. Paul Devereux, in his book The Long Trip: A Prehistory of Psychedelia, points out that passage graves were sites of heavy psychedelic usage by ancient shamans. This would tie in nicely with what one of your witnesses said in your latest book about psychedelic usage aiding in arousing these shadowy beasties. If you're aware of this, I apologize for droning on.
Many thanks for this. Yes, Paul D's is a very good book, and as far as I'm concerned, the psychadelic angle is an important factor in the whole issue of weird creatures.
